Playing Memories, the TV series arrives on Raiplay

Playing Memories, due weeks for a dream, presented at the 77th Prix Italia, arrives on RaiPlay from November 5, 2025.

An innovative and visionary journey that traces the creative adventures of one hundred and twenty young artists, most of them from the best Institutes of Higher Education in the field of artistic-musical disciplines in Italy, while another twenty-four come from all over the world. Playing Memories, premiered in Naples on Oct. 21, 2025, during the 77th edition of the Prix Italia – Rai’s international competition for broadcasters, arrives on RaiPlay from Nov. 5.

The docu-series, characterized by Marco Liorni‘s discreet and respectful narration, was created with the aim of giving space to art in all its forms-dance, music, visual arts, performing arts, sculpture, painting and photography-encouraging participants to engage in an authentic cross-cultural exchange by measuring themselves in eight artistic residencies scattered around Italy and through sixteen live performances around the world.

Each group consists of fifteen performers of various disciplines, selected from the most prestigious Italian and international Institutes of Higher Education in the field of artistic-musical disciplines. The common element of all performances is a repertoire composed of both traditional and contemporary pieces of Italian music, of all genres, published and unpublished. The performance is staged twice: first in the host city on the last day of the artistic residency, and second in a foreign city. Guests in the episodes include Diana Del Bufalo, Ditonellapiaga, Michele Bravi, Margherita Vicario, Dardust, Roy Paci, Mirkoeilcane, and Peppe Vessicchio.

Playing Memories is a Rai Digital Content and Transmedia program, director Marcello Ciannamea, conceived by Stefano Mastruzzi and produced by Saint Louis College of Music, funded by PNNR, directed by Claudio Ammendola.

The docu-series was produced in partnership with the Alfredo Casella Conservatory in L’Aquila, the Fondazione Accademia Teatro alla Scala, RUFA (Rome University of Fine Arts) and ISIA (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche a Roma).
